These baby buns have a name! Butts - Moroccan mini-cakes, lush and airy inside, somewhat resemble a Greek pita, but still differ in size and method of preparation.
Preparing to ugliness is simple: right in the pan no oil added. The oven, by the way, is not recommended for their baking: the buns will come out not so porous.
Buns made according to this recipe can be used as sandwich bases and just instead of bread, and they are also suitable for use in the post!
- 350 g flour
- 0.5-1 tsp. salt
- 250 ml of water
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- Mix it up yeast with sifted flour, add salt (the amount depends on your taste preferences), pour warm water. Knead the dough elastic dough that will not stick to your hands.
- Divide the dough into 2 parts, each of which roll into a layer about 4 mm thick. Glass cut circles.
- Lay out the dough circles on a flat surface and leave to part under the film for 15-20 minutes.
- Bake buns in a dry frying pan (without oil) over medium heat. They prepare quickly: just keep turning!
